1930’s Vintage Sida Optik Subminiature 35mm camera for parts/restoration

This was a fun little garage sale find the other day. First one I’d ever seen and enjoyed researching the Sida subminiatures. It’s often called a “spy camera” but most place it in the novelty category.
It’s broken- as one side of the shutter housing is completely gone. The shutter mechanism works though. It’s got both film spindles. For the restorationist fabricating a new side panel could be an option or just use it for its parts. Or just set it on the shelf as a conversation piece as it sits. It’s a beautiful little German camera made of cast metal. If it doesn’t hit opening bid it will be going on my shelf!
