Description
This is a pair of vintage Mexican sterling silver (marked), square cufflinks with an Aztec sun design. They have an eagle 76 mark and are marked "925 Hecho en Mexico" in a circle, with the initials "PRN" in the circle, which is listed on pages 91 and 114 in Bille Hougart's book,The Little Book of Mexican Silver Trade and Hallmarks
. The fronts are 3/4 inch square. These interesting cufflinks are in excellent condition. Note: only the fronts are sterling silver; the hardware is alpaca.
The cufflinks weigh 9.2 grams, which includes the alpaca backs.
